Here are some ways to boost brain health and improve resilience:

• Learn new skills and use your non-dominant hand for activities
• Do what we are afraid of, even if it feels like something less significant than we aspire to
• Get quality sleep
• Play a musical instrument
• Exercise and move regularly
• Drink green tea
• Eat foods high in Omega 3 fatty acids like fatty fish (salmon), shellfish, seaweed, flax and avocados. Include flavonoids, like berries, red cabbage, onion, kale, parsley, tea, dark chocolate and citrus fruits, in your diet
• In conversation, listen to understand. Practice pausing before you respond, particularly in situations that may be triggering
